Job description

  • We provide first-line technical support to staff and students across five primary schools in Oldham.
  • We manage helpdesk tickets and respond to user support requests.
  • We maintain a wide range of IT equipment, including hardware, software, audio-visual systems, and bespoke educational technologies.
  • We install and configure new technologies.
  • We carry out repairs and upgrades.
  • We maintain accurate asset registers and documentation.
  • We contribute to the ongoing development of IT infrastructure.
  • We support digital projects such as SharePoint.
  • We ensure systems meet safeguarding, data protection, and security standards.
  • We work collaboratively to improve IT services across the Trust.
  • We spend time in each assigned school each week, working closely with staff and pupils while being supported by the wider IT team.

Requirements

  • We require first-line IT support experience.
  • We ideally seek experience working in the education sector, such as a school, trust, college, or an education-focused managed service provider.
  • We need someone who is a strong team player and can work collaboratively with a wider IT team.
  • We look for excellent communication skills and strong relationship-building skills.
  • We require you to have your own car and a valid UK driving licence.
