Job description
The Senior Full Stack Web Developer is a key technical contributor within the web team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Axscend's web portal and its related systems. You will demonstrate technical excellence across the full stack - covering front-end, back-end, and database - and play an active role in driving the quality and reliability of the platform.
You will work closely with the Web Team Lead to deliver features and improvements that meet both internal and external expectations, contributing to architectural decisions and providing input on technical direction. You will also support the development of less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices across the team.
AI-assisted development workflows are a core part of how the web team builds software at Axscend. These workflows exist to enhance the quality and reliability of our output, and to make developers' work more effective - not to replace the need for engineering skill or technical understanding. The developer remains the engineer: responsible for defining requirements, agreeing a plan, supervising implementation, and reviewing every change with the same rigour expected of any other code. As Senior Full Stack Web Developer, you will actively support the Web Team Lead in defining and refining this workflow, acting as a point of guidance for other team members on best practice.
