Job description
The Transformation Delivery Director will be the accountable point of contact for the execution of an assigned strategic program including the upfront shaping and set-up of program and the delivery to the point of Business As Usual (BAU). They will set up programs with a clear vision, proposed benefits/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and value proposition, governance and resourcing plan such that they deliver with excellence in alignment with other R&D business initiatives whilst minimizing distractions from the delivery of the pipeline. This role will require, Portfolio management & value realization
- Be accountable for and dedicated to the delivery of a defined strategic transformational program(s).
- Partner with key stakeholders and sponsors, to translate vision into strategy and delivery plans.
- Drive continuous measurement of outcomes (cost avoidance, cycle-time reduction, quality, capability uplift).
- Be accountable for delivery of committed benefits; trigger corrective actions when needed.
Operational Excellence
- Where needed, create and manage a matrix team of internal or external people (including Subject Matter Expert (SME's), program, project and change managers, process optimization experts) to support the program shaping and set up
- Ensure all programs are set up with clear objectives, budget, governance and proposed KPIs / benefits.
- Define and continuously assess the value propositions to deliver the expected value, with impactful interventions or pivots where required.
- Leverage data and analytics to monitor program performance, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
- Provide regular, tailored updates on program progress to sponsors, governance forums and leadership team level and other program stakeholders ensuring clear insights into progress, risks, and strategic decisions.
- Design and deliver compelling program communications, ensuring stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned.
- Act as a champion for impactful and outcome focused transformation, fostering culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Cultivate a collaborative and results-driven environment, promoting accountability and shared ownership of program outcomes.
Requirements
exceptional organizational skills, strategic insight, and the ability to navigate complex global environments., * 7+ years of related clinical trial experience within a Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Contract Research Organization (CRO).
- Experience working within R&D or Development Operations, with involvement across defined stages of the drug development lifecycle within lifescience organizations.
- Experience managing enterpriselevel crossfunctional transformation initiatives, with responsibility for benefits tracking, financial forecasting, budget management, and achievement of defined ROI outcomes.
- Experience applying portfolio and Project Management Office (PMO) disciplines, using Agile and traditional project delivery models in assigned initiatives.
- Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders across functions and levels within a matrixed organization to achieve agreed project or strategic objectives.
- Experience preparing and delivering written and verbal communications in a professional setting including senior DevOps and R&D leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Consulting Experience (Big 4).
- Prosci Certification.

- If you are based in Cambridge, MA; Waltham, MA; Rockville, MD; or San Francisco, CA, the annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges $170,775 to $284,625. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
