Job description

EMTAK is hiring multiple Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) / Software Integration Engineers to support a rapidly growing Intelligence Community program. We are seeking engineers with a strong Linux background to support mission operations infrastructure and software integration. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux system administration, automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving system reliability in mission-critical environments. Responsibilities

  • Support mission operations infrastructure and software integration
  • Develop and maintain automation, monitoring, alerting, and resiliency solutions
  • Troubleshoot customer environments, software integrations, and operational issues
  • Perform Linux system administration and operational support
  • Build and maintain monitoring dashboards and system metrics
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Strong Linux system administration experience with RHEL, Rocky Linux, CentOS, SLES, and Ubuntu
  • Scripting experience with Python and Bash (C experience is a plus)
  • Infrastructure automation using Ansible and Salt
  • Monitoring and alerting using Nagios, Thruk, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Experience supporting Splunk dashboards and log analysis
  • Version control using GitBucket or Git
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Slurm
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
