Job description

Quantum Signal AI is looking for a motivated project specialist to join our small-but-agile engineering team. At QSAI no two projects are alike, and we pride ourselves on our ability to assemble dynamic cross-functional teams that can rapidly spin up innovative solutions for our customers. We are a team of engineers, developers, and researchers delivering projects in the areas of advanced driver assist systems, simulation, intelligent systems, and in-vehicle experiences. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to shape and execute technical research and demonstration projects. We look for curious generalists who embrace collaborative project work and are also individual self-starters., * Collaborate with software, mechatronics, and research engineers as a member of various project-focused, cross-functional engineering teams

  • Propose and develop high-level functional and performance requirements and verification methods
  • Produce high-quality, maintainable documentation that meets organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Model, organize, and analyze data for a variety of questions around system-level performance, cost, scheduling, data sizing, etc.
  • Coordinate and execute testing of various combined hardware and software systems both in- and off-vehicle
  • Provide logistics coordination and support of test vehicles, prototype assemblies, and related project materials
  • Maintain and champion best practices around vehicle testing, safety processes and training, and vehicle maintenance
  • Shepherd teams through company processes including procurement, property control, and vehicle operations
  • Explore other areas where your current skills and growth interests can support our technology development work and make a difference within our project teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, related quantitative field, or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional proficiency in engaging with customers and colleagues, characterized by effective communication and adeptness in fostering collaborative relationships
  • Ability to execute against multiple projects in an iterative/agile framework while managing competing deadlines
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Innate drive to organize, document, and share information
  • Experience in systems engineering or business analysis, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, and testing
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with analysis tools such as Excel, Python, MATLAB, etc.
  • Curiosity, a growth mindset, and passion for learning new concepts and technologies

  • Familiarity with software development processes as part of a team including interface specifications, revision control, defect tracking, and continuous integration/continuous delivery
  • Understanding of automotive systems, subsystems, and components
  • Hobby, school, or professional experience in any of the following areas
