Job description
The Technology & School Support Coordinator serves as the school's on-site technology liaison while providing daily operational and administrative support across the campus. Working closely with the school's contracted IT provider (Concentus), this position helps ensure technology functions smoothly for students, faculty, and staff while also supporting the front office, assisting with school-wide projects, and contributing to the day-to-day operations of a busy school community., Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for technology needs.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues before escalating to Concentus.
- Coordinate and communicate with Concentus regarding service requests and ongoing projects.
- Assist with the setup, deployment, and inventory of school devices.
- Maintain technology inventory, including laptops, iPads, and accessories.
- Prepare and configure devices for new students and employees.
- Assist with classroom technology setup and basic equipment.
- Support faculty with day-to-day technology questions.
- Monitor technology-related work orders and follow through until resolved.
- Assist with network-connected devices including printers, smart boards, and classroom technology.
- Coordinate technology needs for school events, presentations, and meetings.
- Help maintain technology documentation and user guides.
Office & Administrative Support:
Provide operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the school office.
- Assist with front office coverage as needed.
- Welcome visitors and support a positive school experience for families and guests.
- Answer phones and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Assist with student arrival and dismissal procedures.
- Support student attendance and basic record keeping.
- Prepare materials, forms, and communications for school events.
- Assist with copying, filing, mail distribution, and general office organization.
- Help coordinate classroom needs.
- Support school-wide communications and special projects.
Student & Faculty Support:
- Assist students with technology-related issues throughout the school day.
- Support teachers with classroom technology.
- Help supervise students when appropriate.
- Assist with special events, field trips, and school activities.
- Maintain a helpful, approachable presence for students and staff.
School Operations & Special Projects:
Because independent schools rely on teamwork, this position will assist with a variety of operational needs throughout the year.
Examples include:
- Morning, afternoon, occasional field trip bus bus driver
- Campus setup and breakdown for events
- School photo day coordination
- Beginning and end-of-year classroom setup
- Inventory projects
- Summer Campus preparations
- Supply organization
- Facilities-related coordination
- Data entry and administrative projects
- Assistance with accreditation or operational initiatives
- Other duties as assigned in support of the school's mission
Requirements
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with people of all ages, and wearing multiple hats in a collaborative school environment. This position plays an important role in keeping the school running smoothly each day. By serving as the bridge between on-site operations and the school's managed IT provider while also supporting the administrative team, this individual helps create an efficient, welcoming, and well-supported environment for students, faculty, and families. Flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed are essential to success in this role., * Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- At least one year working in a school environment
- Experience providing technology support in a school or office environment preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows, macOS, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and iOS devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technology issues.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Comfortable working with children, parents, and faculty.
- Strong customer-service mindset.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move technology equipment as needed.
