The ERP Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, integration, and ongoing management of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to align with business processes, goals, and operational efficiency. The incumbent serves are a strategic IT/business leader ensuring ERP systems are implemented effectively, maintained efficiently, and continuously optimized to drive operational excellence and support organizational growth. This role bridges IT and business functions, ensuring the ERP system supports strategic objectives while delivering measurable improvements in productivity and decision-making. The ideal candidate is an experienced ERP leader with strong hands-on expertise in SAP ERP, SAP Ariba Contracts, Ariba Sourcing, and Ariba Procurement, as well as proven experience managing large-scale system integrations, upgrades, and process improvements.
About the Agency
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides support for all of the agencies, departments, and branches of County government. The?OIT Service Desk?provides information technology support and maintenance services to Prince George's County personnel. The Office of Information Technology is wholly dedicated to aligning technology efforts to support the strategic goals of the County. OIT will provide leadership, expertise, and resources in the ideation, development, and deployment of innovative technologies and streamlined processes to improve government efficiency, business interaction, and citizen access to government information and services.

Develops and executes a comprehensive ERP strategy that aligns with organizational objectives, technology modernization initiatives, and enterprise architecture standards.

Provides quarterly strategic updates to executive leadership on ERP initiatives, risks, and progress toward roadmap milestones.

Identifies and recommends technology enhancements, automation opportunities, and integration strategies that improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

Plans and leads ERP implementations, upgrades, and integrations to ensure seamless alignment with enterprise systems and business processes.

Coordinates system integrations with existing enterprise platforms, data systems, and infrastructure environments.

Maintains ERP platform reliability through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and system upgrades.

Ensures security patches, system upgrades, and configuration updates are implemented in accordance with IT standards.

Maintains documentation of system configurations, updates, and maintenance activities.

Ensure ERP platforms operate efficiently, securely, and reliably while supporting the County's operational and financial systems.

Collaborates with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure ERP systems support organizational requirements.

Works closely with Finance, Procurement, HR, and other agencies to identify system needs and improvements.

Facilitates stakeholder meetings and working groups to address ERP functionality, reporting, and system enhancements.

Performs other related duties assigned in support of OIT executive leadership and strategic objectives., * Meet all training and performance standards and demonstrate proficiency as required by the agency.

Wear and use agency protective apparel and equipment in the performance of their assigned duties.

Successfully pass preemployment checks which may include reference checks, background investigations, and drug screenings.

Be willing and able to serve as an essential employee. Essential employees are expected to report during standard or non-standard hours as operations necessitate, or during emergencies. Essential employees are expected to report or remain at work when other County employees are granted Administrative Leave.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in computer science, mathematics, business or public administration, or closely related field.
- At least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology management, with at least one (1) year of supervisory/managerial experience.
Any equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience may also be considered. Please note there is no equivalency for the required supervisory experience. Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years or more of hands-on experience administering, supporting, and optimizing SAP ERP systems, including experience with SAP Ariba Contracts, Sourcing, and Procurement modules.
- Three (3) years or more of experience analyzing and supporting cross-functional business processes and workflows across multiple functional areas, including Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Budget, and Supply Chain operations.
- Five (5) years of experience leading enterprise-wide technology initiatives, ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations, or digital transformation projects.
- Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in system integration, application modernization, and data-driven process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and consultants to identify business requirements and deliver enterprise solutions.
- Experience developing ERP governance processes, operational standards, performance metrics, and strategic roadmaps for enterprise systems.

After enrolling in the County's benefit plans, employees may only make changes to the plans either during the open enrollment period, which occurs annually (usually each October), and/or during the year, due to a family status change (i.e., marriage, births, divorce and adoption).
