️ Platform Architecture & Customization

Define and govern enterprise Salesforce architecture across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom platform applications - ensuring scalability, security, multi-org coherence, and long-term maintainability

Lead complex Salesforce customization efforts including Apex frameworks, LWC component libraries, advanced Flow orchestration, and platform event-driven architecture

Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, DevOps best practices, and CI/CD pipelines via Salesforce DX, Git, and release management tooling

Drive architecture reviews, technical grooming, and platform health assessments across delivery teams and vendor partners

Own the Salesforce platform roadmap and align it to NEER IT strategic goals, operational priorities, and AI-enabled delivery models
Integration Engineering

Architect and govern end-to-end integrations connecting Salesforce to enterprise systems including MuleSoft, Documentum, Excalibur, SAP, GIS/ESRI, and legacy platforms

Define integration contracts, error handling frameworks, retry/resilience patterns, and middleware orchestration strategies for real-time and batch integration scenarios

Lead integration solutioning for complex, multi-system workflows spanning case management, document handling, and regulated utility operations

Collaborate with MuleSoft Architects to evaluate, design, and harden integration layers supporting mission-critical business processes

Guide REST/SOAP API design, Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), and event-driven patterns across multi-vendor delivery teams
Data Engineering

Own and drive Salesforce data architecture including data modeling, object relationships, schema governance, and master data management across multi-org environments

Lead data migration strategies from legacy platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) to Salesforce - including transformation logic, validation frameworks, reconciliation protocols, and cutover planning

Partner with the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) and Salesforce Data Cloud teams to design scalable data pipelines, harmonize data structures, and ensure enterprise-wide data integrity

Define and enforce data quality rules, deduplication strategies, and audit-ready data lineage standards aligned with NERC and utility-sector compliance requirements

Evaluate and guide adoption decisions between custom EDP approaches and Salesforce Data Cloud, presenting trade-offs with executive-level clarity
Generative AI & Agentic AI Delivery

Leverage Agentic AI platforms (Windsurf, Devin, or equivalent) daily for solution design, accelerated story creation, code generation, test automation, and technical documentation
-
Apply and champion prompt engineering best practices - iterative prompting, session scoping, output peer review, and token management - ensuring AI output quality and delivery completeness

Architect and integrate Salesforce Einstein AI, Agentforce, and GenAI-enabled flows into case management, portal, and enterprise automation workflows
-
Lead AI-augmented SDLC practices at the platform level, establishing guardrails, quality gates, and responsible AI usage standards for the broader delivery team

Drive and measure AI efficiency benchmarks including development velocity gains, BA/QA effort reduction, sprint throughput improvements, and labor cost optimization

Contribute to NEER's AI-first delivery strategy, including adoption of REWIRE and Agentic AI tooling across the 2026-2028 Salesforce roadmap
️ Governance, Security & Compliance

Own platform governance protocols including user access management, permission sets, profiles, inactive account monitoring, and org health standards

Ensure all solutions adhere to NERC compliance, utility-sector regulatory standards, and audit-ready documentation requirements

Lead security architecture reviews, vulnerability assessments, and AppExchange product governance across NEER Salesforce orgs
-
Establish release management protocols, change control governance, and technical debt reduction programs aligned with platform long-term health
Collaboration & Delivery Leadership

Partner with business, product, and IT leadership to translate complex requirements into scalable, compliant, and high-impact Salesforce solutions with measurable business value
-
Work closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to shape epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria - leveraging AI tooling to accelerate story creation by ~50% and reduce BA/QA effort by 40-60%

Lead, mentor, and develop Salesforce Tech Leads and developers across onshore and offshore delivery models, providing technical direction and removing delivery impediments

Serve as the primary technical voice in Agile ceremonies - sprint planning, architecture reviews, backlog grooming, and retrospectives - driving engineering quality and delivery accountability

Coordinate with QA leads to define test strategies, support SIT/UAT, and sustain defect counts below the 5% threshold across platform releases
Requirements
We are seeking a seasoned and forward-thinking Salesforce Architect to join the NEER IT Salesforce team. This role sits at the highest level of platform strategy and technical governance - spanning enterprise customization, integration architecture, data engineering, and AI- augmented delivery. The ideal candidate combines deep platform expertise with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, shape long-term architecture direction, and embed Generative AI and Agentic AI methodologies as a first-class practice in their daily engineering workflow., * 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience with a minimum of 3 years in a Salesforce Architect capacity

Expert-level proficiency in Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, platform events, and Salesforce platform internals
-
Proven expertise in enterprise integration architecture using MuleSoft or equivalent middleware (REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven architecture, middleware patterns)

Strong data engineering background including data modeling, ETL/ELT design, large- scale migrations, and data quality governance
-
Demonstrated daily use of Generative AI and Agentic AI tools in a software delivery context with measurable productivity outcomes
-
Hands-on experience with Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and multi-org DevOps tooling

Salesforce Architect certifications: Application Architect or System Architect (required); Certified Technical Architect (CTA) preferred

Integration Architecture Designer and Data Architecture Designer certifications strongly Preferred
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in regulated utility, energy, or infrastructure sectors with working knowledge of NERC compliance and audit requirements

Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein Analytics, Agentforce, and Field Service Lightning

Hands-on experience with Windsurf, Devin, or similar Agentic AI coding and delivery platforms

Knowledge of Documentum, Excalibur, or enterprise content management systems

Background in multi-vendor offshore/nearshore delivery models and vendor governance

MuleSoft Certified Architect or Integration Professional certification
-
Familiarity with GIS/ESRI integrations or geospatial data platforms in a utility context
