Job description
OSG is seeking a Cybersecurity & OPSEC Specialist to evaluate Operational Security (OPSEC) implementation and assess cybersecurity integration supporting protection programs at Army installations. This role reviews information protection procedures, evaluates cyber-related vulnerabilities affecting installation protection, assesses protection of critical information, reviews insider threat coordination, and recommends improvements to information protection across Cybersecurity, Operational Security (OPSEC), Information Protection, and Insider Threat functional areas., * Evaluate Operational Security (OPSEC) implementation.
- Assess cybersecurity integration supporting protection programs.
- Review information protection procedures.
- Evaluate cyber-related vulnerabilities affecting installation protection.
- Assess protection of critical information.
- Review insider threat coordination.
- Evaluate integration of cyber and physical security measures.
- Recommend improvements to information protection.
Requirements
Clearance: Active Secret (Top Secret eligibility preferred)
Ability to work remotely: No - role requires on-site presence at Army installations to conduct assessments, * Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Homeland Security, Military Science, or a related discipline. Additional military police, Federal law enforcement, or senior DoD experience may be substituted for education requirements where contractually permissible.
- Army or DoD Cybersecurity Programs.
- Operational Security (OPSEC).
- Information Protection and Information Assurance.
- Cyber risk assessments and compliance evaluations.
- Organizational inspections and vulnerability assessments.
- Executive reporting and corrective action development.
- Required Certifications: Active Secret Security Clearance; DoD Cyber Awareness Training; OPSEC Level I; CompTIA Security+ (or DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification); Antiterrorism Level I Awareness.
- Clearance Level Required: Active Secret (Top Secret eligibility preferred)
- Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional); Certified Information Security Manager (CISM); Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA); CompTIA CySA+; Top Secret clearance or eligibility.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Work is performed in both office and field environments, including on-site assessments at Army installations. Must be able to walk, stand, and stoop for extended periods while touring facilities and grounds, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during site assessments.
