Job description
- You will perform Platform Systems Engineering (PSE) activities for the SOA helicopter programs, including creation of design artifacts and decisions, execution of test procedures, testing the systems out in the lab, etc. Tools used are DOORS, JIRA, PREP, Microsoft, SVN and others.
- You will complete work for avionics solutions across the cockpit avionics for the Special Operations Aviation (SOA) programs.
- You will navigate through the bids & pursuits, adhering to Collins Processes for the SOA programs.
- You will lead customer discussions alongside the program chiefs & architects.
- You will design system solutions, ensuring the integration of Collins Aerospace products into complex upgrade programs working with other military helicopter programs.
- You will provide mentorship to other engineers within the Platform Systems team and others in the department.
- Up to 10% of travel as needed.

Requirements

- Experience within a Systems Engineering role.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Ability to obtain a US Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.
- Collins Aerospace's Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) experience.
- Experience with DARs.
- Experience doing bids & pursuit.
- Experience with TNT, DOORS, PREP, JIRA and/or Microsoft Office Suite is desired.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
