Job description

DUTIES: Lead and generate technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current, new and major programs. Lead development of software system team design content and software anomaly corrections. Supply common software solutions across all GM In-House controllers. Document requirements for design solutions and link them to test cases that can demonstrate software functionality. Utilize automated test tools in build environments, benches, and vehicles to verify functionality at the Function, Controller and System level Coordinate and collaborate with departments to deliver quality solutions. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office. Multiple positions available.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and Six (6) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Associate Consultant, or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and Four (4) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Associate Consultant, or related occupation. Four (4) years of experience with: C programming; ISO26262 Functional Safety software design; Automotive Safety Software design; JIRA; Github; Simulink Modeling and Auto Code Generation; CAN and LIN communications; Agile development practices; and ASPICE.
