Job description

Peerless is looking for an experienced VMware/Windows Administrator to work in person in Dayton Ohio to support our growing team at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a VMware/Windows infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with our other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that our VMware/Windows infrastructure is reliable and scalable. Requirements

  • US Citizen with an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • In person in Dayton Ohio
  • Strong knowledge and experience administering VMware vSphere 7 with specific knowledge to vCenter and Dell Avamar backup solution. Administrators will be engaged in daily building, configuring, updating/patching, maintaining, backup/restoring and/or troubleshooting of Windows and Linux based virtual machines via the vCenter administration console.
  • Strong knowledge and experience administering Windows Server 2019. Deploy new and maintain existing Windows servers supporting a variety of algorithms and applications. Experience using troubleshooting tools/resources, i.e., server/application log files, event viewer, ElasticSearch, Powershell, PuTTy, OpenSSL, Wireshark, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) administration. Receive and deploy newly developed and updated web applications
  • Understanding and implementation of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) compliance requirements to organization's server resources.
  • Understanding and experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) supporting application servers using OpenSSL and Java Keytool.
  • Understanding and experience deploying containerized applications; have an understanding of deploying Docker containers into a Kubernetes (DevOps) environment. An understanding of deploying and maintaining JSON/YAML configuration files and Helm charts supporting containerized applications.
  • Understanding and experience containers and associated configuration files with specific experience using Harbor and GIT, respectively.
