Job description

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading large, complex, cross-functional technology initiatives that support strategic business objectives. This role provides end-to-end project leadership, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall project delivery while collaborating with executive leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams. The Senior IT Project Manager also mentors project managers, drives continuous improvement of project management practices, and contributes to portfolio planning and governance., * Lead large-scale, enterprise IT projects from initiation through successful completion.

  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and overall project performance.
  • Direct cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and delivery partners to ensure successful project execution.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for project risks, issues, and critical decisions.
  • Partner with executive leadership and business stakeholders to establish priorities and maintain strategic alignment.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level project status reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings and ensure effective communication across all stakeholder groups.
  • Mentor and coach project managers while promoting project management best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks.
  • Participate in portfolio planning, project prioritization, and resource allocation activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined quality and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive IT project management experience, including enterprise-scale initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in regulated or highly matrixed environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Hybrid, and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success managing project budgets, financial forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership without direct authority.
  • Experience using project management tools and reporting dashboards.
