Job description
The Analyst, Applications & Automation partners with departments across the organization to improve business processes through the effective use of technology, while collaborating closely with IT team members to deliver secure, scalable, and well-integrated solutions. This role supports and optimizes key enterprise systems-including Tessitura (CRM, ticketing, and fundraising), Artifax (venue management), and the organization's finance system-alongside Microsoft technologies (Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Azure) and collaboration platforms such as Monday.com and Slack.
This role bridges business needs and technical solutions, supporting and implementing application optimization, automation initiatives, integrations, and AI-enabled workflows while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals., * Business Partnership & Process Improvement
- Collaborate with departments to understand workflows, challenges, and opportunities
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, integration, and AI
- Application Ownership & Platform Leadership
- Serve as a primary owner for assigned business applications, including platforms such as Microsoft 365, Monday.com, Slack, and other SaaS tools
- Manage application lifecycle including configuration, enhancements, upgrades, and vendor coordination
- Automation & Solution Development
- Design and build solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI/Microsoft Fabric
- Systems Integration & Architecture
- Design, implement, and support integrations between systems, including Microsoft 365, Monday.com, Slack, Tessitura, Artifax, and other SaaS platforms using APIs, webhooks, and middleware
- AI & Innovation Enablement
- Leverage tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI services, and automation platforms to drive meaningful business value
- Help evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical applications
- Data & Analytics Support
- Support the use of data within applications, automations, and business processes in partnership with the Database Analyst
- Integrate data sources into solutions to enable efficient, data-driven workflows while aligning with established data standards and governance
- Governance, Security & Best Practices
- Ensure solutions follow governance, security, and compliance standards
- Partner with IT leadership on identity management, access controls, and data handling
- Training, Adoption & Enablement
- Drive and promote organization wide adoption of solutions through targeted training, documentation, and coaching
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in application support, business systems, or automation roles
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, or related certifications) are desirable
- Experience designing and implementing solutions using:
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) or comparable low-code/no-code platforms used for application development and workflow automation
- Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID)
- Experience integrating systems using APIs, webhooks, or middleware
- Experience with Monday.com and/or Slack administration, configuration, or integrations desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or modern data platforms desirable
- Experience supporting or implementing AI solutions, particularly Copilot, desirable
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data manipulation, automation, or integrations desirable
- Familiarity with CRM or ticketing platforms (e.g., Tessitura or similar systems) desirable
- Experience participating in and coordinating technology projects preferred, * Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively engaging stakeholders and translating needs into practical technical solutions

- Utilizes integration and systems thinking to understand how applications and data interact and to design cohesive, connected solutions
- Collaborates effectively with IT team members and departments across the organization to achieve shared goals and deliver results
- Takes a user-focused approach, prioritizing solutions that enhance user experience and support staff in their day-to-day work
- Demonstrates adaptability and initiative by managing multiple priorities, responding to changing needs, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
- Maintains a high level of attention to detail and quality, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and consistency in solutions, documentation, and data handling
- Applies security best practices in solution design and implementation, with an understanding of access controls, data protection, and cybersecurity standards
