Job description
Leads the compute/storage infrastructure team, providing technical expertise, strategic planning, and recommendations to leadership. Responsible for team performance, infrastructure integrity and security, and serving as the subject matter expert (SME) in compute and storage technologies. Also oversees Active Directory and identity management for corporate users, and provides direction for application support across the infrastructure environment.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Lead the server team in day-to-day operations and assignment of work.
- Partner with leaders throughout the department to ensure that issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain a server team and manage a team of technical professionals to ensure an optimal computing environment, including coaching, development, training and performance management.
- Support senior leadership personnel and manage projects from inception to completion including technical assessments, architectural design and planning, integration, testing, and implementation. Evaluate alternative technologies and architectures in relation to company infrastructure needs.
- Interface with management and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.
- Ensure that compute/storage infrastructure is fully documented, monitored and performing as required for internal and customer service level agreement expectations, measured through defined metrics.
- Provide clear communication and documentation of events, processes, procedures and configuration details
- Apply sound judgment for solving complex technical issues and communicate findings and recommendations to management.
- Oversee Active Directory administration and identify management for corporate users, ensuring proper access controls, authentication, and compliance with security policies., * A state-of-the-art building with a modern-day, open environment in the heart of The District Detroit.

Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years' experience in server configuration and maintenance as it relates to server components, storage components, and virtualization technologies.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in managing a staff of technical professionals which includes prioritizing, planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work.
- Understanding of networking systems and TCP/IP to include experience in IP addressing and subnetting, network address translation, MTU and QoS.
- Experience in supporting the full engineering lifecycle.Experience with Active Directory administration and identity management, including user provisioning, group policy, and access control for corporate environments.
