Job description

Responsible for the architecture, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure, including, but not limited LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, IDS/IPS and network security infrastructure. Responsible for annual budgets pertaining to designated systems. This includes maintenance contracts, planning, evaluation, and purchases of software and/or hardware to assure reliable performance of these systems., * Responsible for annual budgets pertaining to designated systems. Liaison to all outside vendors and support centers to interface other computer systems with the designated systems. Logs/tracks system errors and problems with designated systems. Ensure that proper backup and disaster recovery policies and procedures are in place, functioning properly and periodically tested and reviewed for designated systems.

  • Oversees installation and maintenance of data cabling corporate wide. Responsible for purchasing, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining LAN/WAN systems. Responsible for the design and planning of credit union IT telecommunications rooms and data centers.
  • Directs IT Technicians and IT Interns. Manage internal and external IP address space.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and solves issues with network infrastructure including, but not limited to, network monitoring techniques and tools that support unattended operations and daily network related alerts and activities.
  • Responsible for writing technical design and build documentation for all aspects of technical infrastructure.
  • Serves as a member of the Information Security Council. Advises committees on system requirements for special projects and manages technical projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Follows policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations. Follows policy and procedures related to SARs by reporting suspicious activity to the Compliance department. Responsible for filling out an incident report for detected computer intrusion of Credit Union computer systems per Bank Secrecy Act. Completes mandatory BSA/AML annual training via online web course.

Requirements

  1. Background with network technologies including routers, switches, firewalls and IDS. 2. Familiar with Cisco IOS and ASA command line configuration and troubleshooting. 3. Familiar with WireShark to perform packet capture and analysis for troubleshooting network and system issues. 4. Familiar with DNS and DHCP configuration and troubleshooting. 5. Basic familiarity with at least one interpreted programing language (such as PERL, VBS, PHP).

Education/Certifications/Licenses

  1. College degree and minimum of 4 years equivalence in progressively responsible industry experience. 2. Cisco router, switches and firewall courses or equivalent training or experience.

Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
