The primary responsibilities of the Architectural Services Representatives are to conduct woodworking inspections, both of the shop drawings and of the finished installation, and to explain the fabrication requirements needed to meet the requirements of our certification programs. Additionally, the ASR will meet with architects and specification writers to market the Woodwork Institute's programs and services. Architectural Services Representatives are the primary point of contact for their territory and must establish and maintain good working relationships with all architects, engineers, specification writers and design professionals in his/her territory and demonstrate to those customers our desire to provide the highest level of professional services available., Act as the primary point of contact for architects, engineers, specification writers, design professionals, woodworkers, and the affiliates in your territory.
Inspect jobs that require certification.
Work with multiple software platforms to provide consistent reporting.
Manage multiple projects in a defined geographical area under management supervision.
Assist with discovering contractual parties and updating statuses for projects
Attend association meetings and trade shows
Be able to travel up to 50%, to include overnight stays
In-depth Job Requirements
Provide answers to questions pertaining to specifications, details, products, fabrication, and quality issues as per the North American Architectural Woodwork Standards
Review specifications and shop drawings
Communicate requirements for new projects that require certification
Share information regarding our certification programs and the benefits
Conduct AIA continuing education seminars
Communicate information regarding affiliation, the certification process, industry, or organizational changes
Provide guidance regarding the North American Architectural Woodwork Standards
Answer questions regarding specifications, details, products, fabrication, quality issues
Skills Required
Read, analyze, and interpret general business information, technical procedures, and government regulations
Read architectural drawings and specifications
Provide reports and business correspondence using provided software
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Use Microsoft Office Applications and data entry business platforms
Requirements
The Architectural Services Representative (ASR) must have a passion for quality, a talent for building excellent relationships, a background in sales, and extensive knowledge of the commercial architectural woodwork industry., The successful representative must be able to work with minimal supervision, have good project management skills, organization, and time management skills.
The ASR must be physically capable of lifting 25 lbs, climbing a ladder, crouching down in a squat for up to 10-15 minutes at a time, and walking multiple flights of stairs., * Do you have a minimum of five years' experience working at a commercial woodworking company?
