Job description
Ion Computer Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a large-scale IT Infrastructure program for Northwell Health. This role will be responsible for managing infrastructure-related projects including structured cabling, end-user devices, network deployments, and facility technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with construction trades and vendors, and communicating effectively with executive and technical stakeholders.
This is a hands-on project management role requiring expertise in Agile and traditional project management methodologies, schedule management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement., * Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Utilize PMI PMBOK-based project management methodologies and best practices.
- Coordinate activities among IT teams, vendors, contractors, and construction trades.
- Manage projects involving network infrastructure, cabling, telecommunications, and device deployments.
- Facilitate Agile project ceremonies and ensure project deliverables align with business objectives.
- Develop and distribute weekly project status reports to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Track project budgets, funding limitations, and resource allocations.
- Manage stakeholder communications and provide executive-level project updates.
- Modify project schedules as needed to address changing priorities and project requirements.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Project Management experience leading IT infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing projects involving:
- Structured Cabling
- Network Infrastructure
- End-User Devices
- Facility Technology Deployments
- Strong understanding of Agile project management methodologies.
- Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, and construction trades.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a complex enterprise environment.
Required Technical Skills
- Microsoft Project
- Clarity PPM (or related Project Portfolio Management tool)
- Project scheduling and resource management
- Risk and issue management
- Agile and Waterfall methodologies, * PMP Certification
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience supporting large enterprise or hospital environments
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure implementation and migration projects
