Job description

Our client, a leader in the technology and services space, is seeking a Director of Information Systems to join their team. As the Director of Information Systems, you will be responsible for the operational leadership and delivery of enterprise business systems, data, analytics, and reporting platforms. You will play a critical role in ensuring system stability, scalability, and alignment with business processes and decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, data governance expertise, and enterprise systems experience to succeed in a collaborative, fast-paced environment., Enterprise Systems Support -Lead operational delivery of enterprise application initiatives, including system administration, configuration, integration support, data migration, and user adoption across ERP, reporting, and planning platforms

Support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of enterprise applications

Data & Reporting Support-Guide development and maintenance of dashboards and operational reports

Ensure reporting solutions align with data standards and visualization best practices

Support data accuracy and usability through collaboration with data stakeholders

Data Governance Execution-Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards

Ensure data quality, compliance, and reporting integrity through monitoring and remediation

Identify data risks and escalate issues with recommended solutions

AI Enablement & Tool Adoption

Drive implementation and operational adoption of approved AI tools and platforms

Provide guidance on practical AI usage aligned with organizational strategy and governance

Monitor emerging technologies and recommend opportunities to leadership

Team Leadership & Development

Manage and mentor IT staff, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Support talent development through coaching, training, and performance management

Assist with workforce planning and skill development

Technology Operations & Execution

Translate IT strategy into operational plans, milestones, and deliverables within enterprise applications

Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization

Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership for prioritization and decision-making

Financial & Vendor Management

Support budget management through cost tracking and forecasting

Assist with vendor management, including contract oversight, performance monitoring, and renewals

Contribute to vendor evaluations and negotiations

What's Needed?

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred

Minimum 10 years of experience leading IT teams and initiatives

Advanced Excel skills for data management, reporting, and analysis

Experience with ERP implementations (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar systems)

Strong Power BI development experience, including DAX

Knowledge of data governance and compliance practices

Experience working with relational databases (preferred)

Exposure to AI technologies and automation initiatives

Leadership & Business Skills

Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams

Experience managing budgets and cost optimization

Vendor management and contract negotiation experience

Strong communication and leadership capabilities

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities under pressure

Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze beyond surface-level data
