- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Create DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs
- Build data transformations using Power Query (M)
- Connect Power BI to SQL Server, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint, and other data sources
- Develop and maintain semantic models (datasets) in Power BI Service
- Troubleshoot report refreshes, gateway issues, and data connectivity problems
- Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements
- Work with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouses and data pipelines
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage Power BI workspaces
- Document reports, data models, and business logic
Requirements
We are seeking a Power BI Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our client's Business Intelligence team in the energy industry. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building interactive dashboards, working with business users, and turning data into meaningful insights.
You'll work alongside data engineers and business analysts to develop reports, create data models, and support business decision-making using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric., * 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience
- Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Proficiency in DAX (Measures, Time Intelligence, CALCULATE, Filter Context)
- Experience with Power Query (M)
- Good SQL skills for querying and validating data
- Understanding of data modeling concepts (Star Schema and Snowflake Schema)
- Experience connecting to both cloud and on-premises data sources
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Fabric Pipelines, Direct Lake)
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tools
- Experience in the Energy, Utilities, or Oil & Gas industry
- Microsoft PL-300 or DP-600 Certification
- Python or R experience is a plus
