Job description
The Analytics Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company's analytics ecosystem. This individual will transform data into actionable insights by building scalable data pipelines, interactive dashboards, predictive models, and automated reporting solutions that improve decision-making across the organization.
This is a unique opportunity to build an enterprise analytics platform from the ground up while helping shape the future of a technology-driven construction company.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions.
Build interactive dashboards and executive reports using Power BI or Tableau.
Develop and optimize SQL databases, data warehouses, and data models.
Integrate data from accounting systems, CRM platforms, ERP software, estimating systems, projectmanagement platforms, and other business applications.
Develop predictive analytics models for estimating, budgeting, project performance, labor utilization, equipment tracking, scheduling, and cash flow forecasting.
Create company-wide KPIs, scorecards, and executive performance dashboards.
Automate manual reporting and repetitive business processes using Python, APIs, and workflow automation tools.
Design and maintain secure, scalable analytics architecture.
Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for operational improvement through analytics and automation.
Ensure data quality, governance, documentation, and security best practices.
Support strategic planning through advanced reporting, forecasting, and business intelligence.
Projects You'll Help Build
As our Analytics Engineer, you will lead the development of innovative analytics solutions including:
Business development pipeline dashboard
Estimating and cost analytics platform
Financial performance and executive reporting dashboards
Project profitability analytics
Cash flow forecasting models
Proposal and sales pipeline analytics
Vendor and subcontractor performance dashboards
Equipment utilization and maintenance analytics
Executive KPI dashboards
Predictive project risk models
Workforce productivity dashboards
Interactive operational reporting tools
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, data engineering, software development,or a related technical role.
Strong proficiency in SQL.
Experience programming with Python.
Experience building dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau.
Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.
Experience integrating multiple data sources using APIs.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
