Job description
Joining the WIN team as a Network Systems Shift Supervisor is an integral role within the Network Management Department, and as such, all ideas, input and constructive recommendations will be highly valued. In this fast-paced environment your role is to empower individuals to excel in their role through delegation of authority and assurance of product. The Network Systems Shift Supervisor is the coach and mentor for teammates. You will be responsible for providing leadership to the Network Systems Technicians, Network Systems Administrators, Network Systems Professionals and Network Systems Experts on your team., * Assist with the implementation, and execution of strategies to improve operational efficiencies
- Assist with the implementation, and execution of reporting standards to showcase Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Provide escalated guidance, response, and peer review of all other tiers
- Assist with the implementation, and execution of strategies to improve competencies and capability of the team
- Coach all tiers to the essential competencies required to perform the duties assigned
- Provide support and backup to employees on your team where necessary
- Help teammates understand work priorities through empowerment and delegation
- Perform any additional job-related duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and provide our members with industry leading customer service
Requirements
- Working knowledge of WAN systems and technologies
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux Server and Virtualization Technologies
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot different network layers is critical
- Diligence and attention to detail, excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong technical troubleshooting skills
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Prior supervisory experience is advantageous
- Have conflict resolution skills and the ability to delegate tasks to employees
- Possess the ability to monitor/understand metrics and coach employees to succeed in their positions
- Know how to lead a successful team, * Possess, at minimum, a Bachelors Degree or equivalent related experience
- CompTIA A+/Network+/Linux+/Security+, LPIC, Microsoft MCSA, Cisco CCNA/CCNP and MCITS certifications are beneficial as well as previous experience with Postfix, Dovecot and cPanel
- Willing to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, as well as the flexibility to work additional shifts to meet business demands
- Willing to work in an on-call rotation to provide first level escalation
