Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT team and deliver exceptional technical support across our organization. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for end-users experiencing hardware, software, or network issues. Your expertise will ensure smooth operation of desktop environments, enhance user productivity, and maintain the integrity of our IT infrastructure. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about solving technical challenges with enthusiasm and precision, this opportunity is perfect for you!, * Provide prompt and effective technical support to end-users via help desk tickets, phone, or in person, resolving issues related to hardware, software, operating systems, and network connectivity.

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, peripherals, and other hardware components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot software problems within Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, Linux operating systems, and enterprise applications such as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory management tools; assist with password resets and account provisioning.
  • Support system administration tasks including operating system updates, patch management, hardware maintenance, and system backups.
  • Assist with computer networking issues such as LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN setup, firewall configurations, and troubleshooting network access problems.
  • Use IT service management tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow or Jira to document incidents, track resolutions, and improve service delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects involving servers (Windows Server administration), Active Directory integration, and hardware upgrades.
  • Conduct hardware troubleshooting and repairs; escalate complex issues to specialized teams when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of support activities and asset inventories to ensure accurate documentation of hardware/software lifecycle management.

Requirements

  • Strong technical proficiency with Windows operating systems (including Windows Server), macOS, Linux distributions, and enterprise applications.
  • Proven experience in technical support roles with a focus on desktop support and hardware maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory management for user account provisioning and permissions control.
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure components including servers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to Microsoft Office applications and other common business tools effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Experience using help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira for incident tracking and resolution documentation.
  • Knowledge of IT support best practices including system security protocols and hardware/software lifecycle management.
