Job description

  • Lead requirements analysis, documentation, and management for complex aerospace defense systems, ensuring compliance with DoD standards.
  • Develop and validate hardware and software components through rigorous testing, verification, and performance assessments.
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to create system models, simulations, and design analyses that optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software solutions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless system operation in mission-critical environments.
  • Support requirements traceability and configuration management activities to maintain system integrity throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to system architecture development, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security aligned with defense standards.
  • Incorporate AI and automation tools into systems engineering workflows to enhance efficiency and innovation.

Requirements

Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics; minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience., * Proficiency with requirements management tools such as IBM Rational DOORS, Jama, or similar platforms.

  • Experience with MBSE tools like MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, or similar modeling environments.
  • Strong understanding of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, integration, and troubleshooting of aerospace-grade hardware and software systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies tailored for defense projects.
  • Expertise in systems architecture design, interface control documentation, and system verification and validation processes.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools for requirements analysis, test automation, and design optimization while maintaining compliance with CUI and proprietary data handling protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with government agencies, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into complex defense systems.
