Job description
Glendale Heights, IL - On Site with 30-40% Travel as needed to customers
Engineering Team Leadership
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of systems, software, electrical, and hydraulic engineers along with technicians and project resources
- Set team priorities, allocate resources, and improve overall engineering execution
- Coach, mentor, and develop technical talent as the team continues to grow
- Build stronger processes, accountability, and scalability across the organization
Customer Integration & Retrofit Projects
- Lead customer-specific integration projects involving hydraulic, controls, software, electrical, automation, and electrification technologies
- Oversee retrofit initiatives where existing customer equipment is modified with new capabilities, upgraded systems, or next-generation technology
- Drive customer discovery conversations and translate needs into technical requirements
- Oversee system architecture, prototype builds, vehicle/equipment fit-up, troubleshooting, validation testing, and implementation
- Identify opportunities to turn custom projects into repeatable solutions that can scale across future customers
Commercial & Customer Leadership
- Partner with sales teams on high-level customer opportunities requiring technical leadership
- Support customer presentations and executive-level technical discussions
- Evaluate both technical feasibility and commercial viability of potential projects
- Help strengthen long-term customer relationships through technical leadership and execution
Strategy & Operational Leadership
- Help shape the long-term roadmap for automation, electrification, and advanced systems growth
- Partner with leadership on future technology strategy and market expansion
- Improve engineering documentation, project execution workflows, and development processes
- Help scale the team as demand continues to grow
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 7+ years of experience in fluid power, mOur Clientle hydraulics, or electrohydraulic systems
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineers or technical teams
- Strong background in hydraulic systems integration
- Experience leading complex technical projects from concept through implementation
- Customer-facing engineering experience
- Experience working on mOur Clientle equipment, off-highway equipment, specialty vehicles, or similar machinery
- Strong understanding of controls, electrical systems, and software integration within equipment platforms
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading retrofit or vehicle modification projects
- Automation experience
- Electrification experience
- Product commercialization experience
- Experience building scalable engineering processes
- Strong cross-functional leadership experience
