Job description
This role is centered on hands-on Mac and iOS/iPadOS endpoint management and MDM administration in support of our growing 1:1 Scholar iPad initiative across 50+ school campuses, with day-to-day ServiceNow triage and support escalations as a secondary responsibility., This is a great opportunity for an experienced systems administrator who wants to take ownership of high-volume, large-scale Apple endpoint management, MDM administration, and mobility deployment work.
What You'll Do Endpoint Management & MDM
Administer Mac and iOS/iPadOS endpoints in Jamf Pro, including configuration profiles, policies, smart groups, and scoping
Support zero-touch enrollment and configuration of iPads via Jamf Pro and Apple School Manager/Apple Business Manager
Coordinate with our provisioning partner to stage and verify device readiness ahead of distribution
Validate MDM profiles, app deployments, and managed configurations prior to fleet rollout
Troubleshoot MDM enrollment issues, profile conflicts, and command failures across Mac and iOS endpoints
Support onsite iPad rollouts at school campuses
Document deployment steps, issues, and resolutions in our knowledge base
IT Triage & Support
Serve as a frontline responder for IT support requests via ServiceNow
Triage and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff across multiple campuses
Escalate complex issues to senior team members with clear documentation
Assist with device lifecycle tasks, including imaging, asset tracking, and decommissioning
Support users on Mac, Chromebook, and iPad devices in a mixed-OS environment
Manage and support communication tools, including Zoom and Slack
Requirements
Hands-on experience administering Mac and/or iOS endpoints in Jamf Pro (configuration profiles, policies, smart groups, scoping), Apple School Manager and/or Apple Business Manager
Familiarity with endpoint lifecycle workflows & deployment methodologies such as zero-touch enrollment, staging, refresh, and decommissioning
Jamf 100 certification, or equivalent hands-on MDM administration experience
3+ years of IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration experience
Hands-on experience administering Google Workspace
Experience with identity lifecycle management (onboarding, offboarding, and access workflows) in Okta or a comparable identity/SSO platform
Comfort working in ServiceNow for ticketing and incident management
Experience supporting users across macOS, iOS/iPadOS, and/or Chromebook in a mixed-OS environment
Comfort in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with competing priorities
Strong communication skills; you'll be working directly with teachers, operations staff, and school leaders
Self-starter who can take ownership of initiatives with minimal oversight
Nice to Have
Experience with Apple Classroom and/or Jamf Teacher
Experience supporting or contributing to large-scale device migrations or fleet rollouts
Familiarity with Chrome Browser Cloud Management or Google Admin for Chromebook fleets
Basic scripting or automation experience (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
Familiarity with API-based administration (REST APIs, tools like GAM/GAMADV-XTD3)
