Job description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician with hands-on experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and advanced inspection techniques. This role involves working with very small, high-precision components in a cleanroom environment, supporting engineering builds and new product development. The ideal candidate is skilled in AOI, X-Ray inspection, microscope use, and thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven manufacturing setting., * Set up, operate, and monitor SMT equipment, including pick-and-place systems, in accordance with documented work instructions.
- Perform inspection of assemblies using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-Ray systems, and microscopes to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Handle and assemble miniature and microelectronic components with a high degree of precision and care.
- Interpret microcircuit layout drawings and engineering specifications to support accurate assembly and inspection processes.
- Maintain strict attention to detail for both product quality and production documentation.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to support product development, engineering builds, and process improvements.
- Work from production schedules, process plans, and technical instructions to meet deadlines and priorities.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to effectively balance multiple tasks in a high-mix production environment.
- Support and maintain 6S standards to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
- Follow all ESD protocols and cleanroom procedures to ensure product integrity.
Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in microelectronics or SMT assembly.

Hands-on experience with SMT processes, AOI, X-Ray inspection, and microscope-based work preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Skills & Qualifications

Experience operating SMT pick-and-place equipment (e.g., Mydata or similar).

Proficiency in microscope inspection and working with fine-pitch or small-scale components.

Familiarity with IPC-610 quality standards.

Ability to read and write in English.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.

Ability to maintain exceptional attention to detail in a precision manufacturing environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Work Environment

Cleanroom setting requiring use of smocks, gloves, and masks.

Work involves extended periods of microscope use and handling delicate, microscopic components.
