Job description

We are seeking a Sr. Research Data Analyst who will build complex data models and conduct complex data analysis in support of research projects, programs, and/or studies. The Sr. Research Data Analyst is responsible for coordination of data and data analysis activities across multiple studies., * Develop, manage, and maintain a database for study data for multiple studies.

  • Develop standard operating procedures for initial data entry and data updates.
  • Oversee quality control procedures for database and ongoing analysis.
  • Develop data models.
  • Conduct statistical analyses of data collected in this system to support empirical study.
  • Build transmission models.
  • Create and curate software tools across diverse programming languages in support of research efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

In addition to the duties described above

  • Wrangle and analyze Electronic Health Record data other real world data including health insurance claims.
  • Use SQL, R and/or Python for statistical analysis.
  • Apply best practices for real-world evidence principles, including bias, confounding, and study design considerations.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • One year of related experience.
  • Highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in coding and data wrangling with SQL, R and/or Python for statistical analysis.

  • Experience with econometrics techniques.

  • Experience with health cost related data sets.
