Job description

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation solutions across web, mobile, API, backend, and end-to-end applications. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, experience building automation frameworks, and hands-on expertise with modern test automation tools. This role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure software quality, release readiness, and continuous improvement throughout the SDLC.

Job Role: Senior Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / Senior QA Automation Engineer

Technology: Playwright, Appium, Selenium, API Automation, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Java/Python/JavaScript, * Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, backend, integration, and end-to-end testing.

  • Build reusable automation libraries, utilities, and engineering solutions to improve software quality and testability.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Playwright, Appium, Selenium, and modern automation frameworks.
  • Integrate automation suites into Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
  • Perform exploratory, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for web, mobile, backend, and cloud applications.
  • Validate complex workflows involving Android applications, APIs, web platforms, backend services, cloud integrations, and transaction-heavy systems.
  • Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues effectively.
  • Apply risk-based testing strategies to prioritize testing efforts and improve release confidence.
  • Build automation tools that improve diagnostics, observability, release readiness, and engineering productivity.
  • Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools for test planning, script generation, debugging, reporting, and productivity improvements.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvements in automation coverage, software reliability, release quality, and engineering best practices.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to automation standards and framework enhancements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Software Development, SDET, QA Automation, or related engineering roles.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or Kotlin.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Expertise in UI, API, integration, backend, and end-to-end automation testing.
  • Experience with Playwright, Appium, Selenium, REST API automation, or similar testing frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, REST APIs, cloud-connected applications, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience testing web, mobile, backend, and cloud applications.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-powered engineering or developer productivity tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience testing Android applications, POS systems, payment platforms, or transaction-heavy applications.
  • Experience with performance testing, observability, monitoring, and reliability engineering.
  • Experience building AI agents, automation accelerators, or engineering productivity solutions.
  • Experience leading automation initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
