Job description
As a QA Automation Engineer II, you will work on test automation projects to help implement automated testing strategies, frameworks, and test scripts for Concentra's applications to improve the quality and usability of Concentra's software. This role requires intermediate programming skills, experience with automation tools, and the ability to work independently on automation projects., * Develop, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and strategies aligned with business and quality objectives
- Design, execute, and optimize automated functional, integration, regression, and non-functional tests across multiple platforms
- Identify, document, and track software defects using tools such as Jira
- Collaborate with QA leadership and cross-functional teams to prioritize automation efforts, define testing roadmaps, and improve QA processes
- Review automated test code, enforce QA best practices, and promote automation standards across applications
- Analyze application dependencies to ensure comprehensive test coverage and minimize deployment risk
- Research and recommend new automation tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve testing efficiency
- Communicate testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Establish and monitor automation KPIs, reporting standards, and continuous process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-4 years of software quality engineering and test automation experience
- 2-4 years developing and maintaining automated test frameworks, test strategies, and test cases in CI/CD environments
- Experience with UI, API, and database test automation using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Karate, or Rest-Assured
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe), QA best practices, and the software development lifecycle
- Experience with Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
- Intermediate SQL skills and experience with API testing
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and QA documentation skills
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI), cloud testing, or desktop application testing is a plus
- Healthcare industry experience, ISTQB certification, and experience with EMR, PMS, ERP, performance, security, or network testing are preferred
