The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (https://youtu.be/H_IrVnVjcoA) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.

Strong communications skills are a must., As a Senior front end Application Developer, the employee performs a complete range of information system analyst assignments including, but not limited to, designing, developing, testing, and implementing computer systems and applications for the Department of Technology, Management and Budget supporting the Agency Services of the Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) Vocational Rehabilitation. This position serves as technical resource responsible for development activities and work with other development and support staff to enhance the capabilities and stability, improve performance, and ensure reliable functionality of the web applications. The Senior Application Developer will be looked upon to provide technical support to other team members and evaluate new development tools and agency systems and leads less experienced application developers., In accordance with federal law, all new employees must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within three business days of beginning employment . Requirements
This employee will maintain and develop applications using the following tools: Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Azure DevOps, Git Version Control, Agile Methodology, and other software as required.
Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, XML, JSON, C#, ASP.NET, SQL, Selenium, Web Services.

Please consider sending in your application today., Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics., Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11., Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement., Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.
Benefits & conditions
This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Signing Bonus:
This
position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be
paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion
of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to
current state employees.
