Job description

The Configuration Manager 1 will serve as an individual contributor, exercising administrative control of technical data and product configurations in various CM tools within the company. These tools include software, hardware, and manufacturing tools as well as enterprise-wide distribution of technical data. The role is focused on maintaining tight coordination between the engineering aspects of configuration and the manufacturing aspects of the same., * Responsible for data entry and maintaining configuration control for specific platforms.

  • Utilize software tools to incorporate engineering designs, changes, and analysis of aircraft into the configuration baselines with a primary focus on the manufacturing baseline.
  • Translating to approved aircraft baseline configuration documentation for production and maintenance.
  • Verify and ensure the adherence of products to approved configuration per Program Manager guidance.
  • Supports the engineering change process and workflow (ERP updates for redlines, change notices, and revisions)
  • Provide Configuration Management support to other production and operations divisions and personnel as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of relevant design-engineering standards, manufacturing processes, configuration management and documentation
  • Knowledge of the PLM process, using at least one PLM tool.
  • Knowledge of the ERP process and at least one ERP tool.
  • Good time-management, planning and organization skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Sound interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with Company personnel, customers, and suppliers
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Excellent experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field desirable, * 2+ years relevant experience working with engineering drawings and analysis as well as other technical data.
  • 2+ years relevant experience in a data management, configuration management, manufacturing, planning, or quality role in a change control environment.
  • Prior experience in data entry and configuration administration.
