Job description

The Network Administrator is responsible for assisting in managing the Bank's hardware and software, and in the ongoing maintenance of the Bank's information systems. The incumbent maintains the area in an effective, systematic, and cost-effective manner that will assure maximum service and satisfaction, appropriate control over the processing of all transactions, and provide required protection of Bank assets. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Troubleshoots technology issues including; workstations, telephones, network infrastructure, printers, application software, system software, and audio/video systems for onsite and remote offices.
  • Ensures efficient and economical utilization of equipment and resources.
  • Applies network security in compliance with Millennium Bank's policies and FDIC requirements.
  • Ensures confidential treatment of customer service data as it is developed.
  • Provides end-user support for hardware and office automation software.
  • Ensures the maintenance of accurate and definitive records of production and time for use of management.
  • Performs advanced network administration, including group policies and Active Directory.
  • Ensures the safekeeping of the Bank's tapes, discs, and records including back-up procedures.
  • Diagnoses and assists in the resolution of network configuration and implementation issues.
  • Ability to document existing and new processes.
  • Ensures back-up work is completed appropriately.
  • Trains computer users pertaining to new computer hardware or software.
  • Provides and revises documentation of updates and program changes.
  • Improves existing systems by adapting the existing program to new equipment including refining and updating current methods and systems as required.
  • Tests and documents programs and informs other departments of special instructions for testing the application(s).
  • Handles calls for various levels of IT assistance (Help Desk).
  • Upgrades and patches company network systems, applications, and equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoots problems that occur during normal working hours and after hours in relation to hardware malfunctions, operating system bottlenecks, and debugging software problems.
  • Maintains a valid driver's license within the incumbent's home state.
  • Performs additional duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree in a Computer-related field preferred
  • 2+ years' experience working in IT in a banking environment preferred
  • Demonstrates an understanding of firewalls, VPN's, routers, switches, and other LAN/WAN and security infrastructure.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities, both internal and external, in a courteous and efficient manner
