Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic WEEKEND NOC MED TECH to join our healthcare team! This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care during weekend shifts, ensuring seamless medical support in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and community settings. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will utilize your medical expertise and technical skills to monitor patient health, assist with medical procedures, and maintain accurate documentation. Your commitment will directly impact the well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, and other memory care requirements. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about compassionate care, this position is perfect for you!, * Monitor vital signs and assess patient physiology to identify changes requiring intervention

  • Assist with medical procedures such as tube feeding, catheter care, and medication administration
  • Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
  • Support residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and memory care needs by providing compassionate assistance
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy
  • Utilize medical terminology proficiently for accurate documentation and communication within the team

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments
  • Knowledge of medical records management and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to senior and hospice care
  • Experience in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, medication administration, tube feeding, catheter care, and monitoring for changes in condition
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and families
  • Certification as a Medical Technician or similar healthcare credential is preferred but not mandatory
