Job description
Our client seeks a high-impact senior full-stack engineer to drive stability, quality, and delivery in a risk-sensitive environment. You will work hands-on across Java microservices and an Angular frontend in a large monorepo, improve reliability, and act as a distributed leader who unblocks teammates and elevates execution. You will interface with legacy and vendor systems, apply judgment to move work forward, and leverage AI tools to accelerate development while validating outputs., * Develop, maintain, and optimize Java Spring Boot microservices and Angular applications in a shared monorepo.
- Proactively identify gaps such as API resilience and retry mechanisms and implement durable solutions.
- Refine requirements, and de-risk delivery before execution.
- Serve as a distributed leader who unblocks teammates, provides direction, and raises code quality.
- Troubleshoot across integrated legacy and vendor systems, including platforms like Loan IQ.
- Improve build pipelines and integration test reliability in a large-scale environment.
- Apply measured judgment to move fast without compromising system reliability or cross-team impact.
- Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate coding and documentation, while validating outputs.
- Separate effort from elapsed time in estimation and drive more accurate sizing practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and deliver end-to-end improvements
Requirements

- Proven initiative as a self-starter who owns outcomes and improves team execution.
- Experience operating in risk-averse or regulated environments with a focus on quality and stability.
- Hands-on debugging across systems not solely owned by the team, including legacy or vendor platforms.
- Monorepo experience with complex builds and long integration test cycles.
- Practical use of AI development tools with an emphasis on validation and correctness.
- Strong code quality, testing, and observability practices.
- Ability to mentor peers and act as a force multiplier without formal authority.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
