Job description

We're seeking a dedicated Desktop Software Support Technician to join our IT team. You'll play a vital role in troubleshooting software issues, providing technical assistance, and ensuring our employees and customers have a smooth computing experience. Your intermediate Windows knowledge, MS Office proficiency, and hardware skills will be essential in resolving problems and maintaining our desktop environment., * Provide timely and effective technical support for desktop software issues via phone, email, and remote desktop interactions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to Windows operating systems and other software.
  • Assist with hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, installations, and upgrades for desktop computers and related peripherals.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in our ticketing system.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and user guides.
  • Stay updated on the latest software and hardware technologies relevant to the desktop environment.

Requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows operating systems (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience maintaining, building, and installing desktop computers and hardware components.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills (not required but highly valued):

  • Basic software development or scripting experience.
  • Familiarity with database concepts and tools., * High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Help desk: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Windows: 1 year (Required)
