Job description

This role offers an opportunity to help launch a brand-new delivery partner program in the Portland, OR area. As an Account Development Executive, you recruit local businesses to join a hub delivery partner program, working closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors. You visit prospective businesses, present the program, qualify interested partners, guide them through the application process, and support community-based recruitment events. The position involves frequent local travel (up to a two-hour driving distance) and offers uncapped commission based on partner conversions., * Visit prospective local businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving distance.

  • Present and pitch the new delivery partner program to prospective businesses and generate interest in applying.
  • Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them through each step of the application process.
  • Lead follow-up activities with prospects and manage a robust pipeline of leads in Salesforce.
  • Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Field Manager to build relationships with local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals.
  • Import and update Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure accurate and current data.
  • Maintain consistent outbound prospecting activity, including calls and visits, to identify and engage new potential partners.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to prospective partners by answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping them navigate the onboarding process.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems for applicants in the field, ensuring a smooth path from initial interest to launch.
  • Work primarily in the field (approximately 4-5 days per week) with dedicated time for follow-up and administrative tasks from home.

  • Experience in field sales is a strong plus.
  • Prior experience in roles involving sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities are beneficial for engaging a diverse range of local businesses.
  • Background in sales, customer service, account management, business development, or outside sales.
  • Familiarity with sales management practices and metrics.
  • Experience importing and working with Excel data within CRM systems.

This is a field-based role centered in and around Portland, OR, with travel to targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving distance. You spend about 80% of your time in the field visiting businesses and attending community events, and about 20% of your time working from home on follow-up and administrative tasks. You work closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors, collaborating to build strong relationships with local businesses and community organizations. The role relies heavily on technology, including Salesforce as the primary CRM and Excel for data management. The position offers uncapped commission with structured incentives per partner milestone, reimbursement for mileage, and a monthly phone bill expense allowance. After a successful six-month performance review, you become eligible for paid time off.
