OAS ODI Developer

Providence Technology Group is seeking 1 full-time OAS ODI Developer Consultant for a large, complex, multi-year project with a current State of California client. The OAS ODI Developer Consultant will join our highly productive team in supporting the design, development, implementation and maintenance of an enhanced business intelligence (BI) solution. The consultant will work on moving data from PeopleSoft and Hyperion applications to Oracle Data warehouse and Azure Synapse Analytics platforms using data integration tools like Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) and Azure Data Factory (ADF). The selected consultant must be well-versed in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Hyperion systems.

Sample Activities

• Develop high-level analytical solutions. Performance tune BI solutions with large data sets.
• Prepare and deliver implementation of BI solution in collaboration with the State Staff.
• Provide production support for ODI, OBIEE and BI Publisher.
• Provide UAT support for new releases.
• Mentor State development staff on the BI solution through facilitated show and tell sessions, hands-on collaboration sessions, peer reviews and advisory support.
• Gather and review the reporting requirements and determine implementation options.
• Develop, test and implement the BI solution.
• Facilitate and participate in design and code walkthroughs and other meetings to collaborate with functional, technical SMEs and other stakeholders.
• Develop documents and artifacts required for the client staff to administer and maintain the BI solution.
• Maintain and enhance the current BI applications in OBIEE 12C and PowerBI Platforms.

• 5+ years of combined experience with implementing Business Intelligence Solutions using: Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Microsoft Azure Synapse, Hyperion
• 3+ years of combined experience in extracting, loading and transforming data with the following integration tools: · Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• 3+ years of combined experience with the following:
• • Implementing security at various levels (Business Unit and row level security, dashboard visibility, shared reports)* Support for multiple hierarchies for a given dimension* Troubleshooting performance issues and tuning queries* Implementing load plans and schedules to support Incremental/Full loads
• 3+ years of combined experience with designing and developing semantic models, dashboards, interactive visualizations, paginated reports and self-service analytics solutions on OBIEE and/or PowerBI platforms. experience with data conversion activities (rules-based ETL, mapping, etc.) on legacy data.
• 2+ years of experience with performance tuning of BI solutions with large datasets.
• 3+ years of experience successfully using: · Oracle Application Server and Oracle Data Integrator
• Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Information Technology or related field (or 4 additional years of qualifying experience).
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across technical teams and stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Desired Experience

• 2+ years of experience using Power BI and/or Tableau
• State of California experience
• PeopleSoft exposure
• Relevant Certifications

This is a large and important project where communicating and collaborating with team members is absolutely essential. This is a hybrid role requiring at least two days per week on-site at the client's office, with the potential for increased on-site presence based on project demands.
