  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards

Requirements

Our banking client is seeking a Python Developer with strong object-oriented programming (OOP) expertise and a background building production-grade applications in a banking or large enterprise environment. This is a true full stack engineering role-the ideal candidate is not a data engineer and not focused solely on scripting or automation. The role centers on designing, developing, and scaling robust Python-based applications that support business-critical financial systems., * Strong experience with Python development in a pure application engineering capacity

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns
  • Experience building full stack or backend-heavy applications (not data pipelines or scripting-only roles)
  • Prior experience within banking, financial services, or capital markets (Will consider candidates from large enterprise environments with complex systems)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience working with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
  • Exposure to modern software development practices (testing frameworks, CI/CD, version control)
  • Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to enhance development productivity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases
  • Front-end experience with technologies such as React, Angular, or similar frameworks
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerization technologies
  • Experience in highly regulated environments (financial services strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture or real-time processing systems

What NOT Looking For - To ensure alignment, this role is NOT suited for candidates who primarily:

  • Build data pipelines or ETL workflows (Data Engineers)
  • Focus on Python scripting for automation only
  • Work exclusively in analytics, reporting, or data science environments

Benefits & conditions

  • Thinks in objects, systems, and architecture, not scripts
  • Has built real applications end-to-end, not just pipelines
  • Understands the complexity and rigor of financial systems
  • Is already leveraging AI tools to code smarter, faster, and better

Upon completion of waiting period, consultants are eligible for:

  • Medical and Prescription Drug Plans
  • Dental Plan
  • Vision Plan
  • Health Savings Account
