Job description
*Involved in all aspects of site design from project planning through the end of construction, including drafting and design.

· Exhibit the ability to assist project managers and executive team so they may effectively deal with clients, contractors and design teams to deliver a well-engineered set of documents to meet the projects needs on time and under budget;
· Afterhours networking, business development activities and continuing educational development are and may extend beyond core business hours.
Client Service
· Assist with multiple concurrent engineering projects;
· Assist in the preparation and execution of written correspondence with outside agencies, client, attorney, contractor, etc.;
· Remain available as a contact person for assigned clients; coordinate with multiple key influencers such as Attorneys, Client and project team;
· Assist in the management of multiple projects from conceptual planning stage through to construction with supervision from key management and executive team;
· Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and all MS Office products;
· Demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines at all costs
Technical Responsibilities
· Have and maintain comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices, principles, and thorough understanding of applicable regulations and codes;
· Assist project managers/professional engineers with the design of land development projects and other various civil engineering projects;
· Gather data from pertinent regulations and available mapping to assist in preparing base maps for each project;
· Prepare cost and bond estimates
Requirements
· Proven design background;
· Conceptualize project elements and design;
· Understand and adhere to local, state and federal codes, laws and mandates;
· Conduct field meetings;
· Build trust with peers, contractors, community, stakeholders and leadership;
· Print production;
· Knowledge of land use ordinances and site permitting;
· Must be able to prepare design criteria such as grading, construction details, zoning analyses, and must have a thorough understanding of stormwater management designs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· EIT certification is preferred, at a minimum. PE License or on track to licensure preferred.
· An Accredited Bachelor of Science in engineering, surveying, planning, or other technical profession that fits InSite's core business, with a minimum of 4 years of design experience under the direction of a licensed Professional Engineer, OR
· 5-8 years of design experience under the direction of a licensed Professional Engineer;
· Must be proficient in AutoCAD, latest release;
· Fluency in English language, with excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills;
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
· Ability to work on a team and lead a team simultaneously;
· Support and trust of the partner group, management team and staff;
· Exceptional analytical and computational skills.
