Java Developer

We collaborate closely with European Union public institutions and agencies, helping skilled professionals navigate and grow in their international careers., * Develop, maintain and enhance software applications using Java technologies and modern development frameworks;

• Design, build and integrate software components while ensuring code quality, scalability and maintainability;
• Develop secure applications by implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID Connect);
• Design and consume REST and/or SOAP Web Services;
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software issues while improving application performance;
• Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation;
• Participate in system integration, deployment and configuration activities;
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams following Agile methodologies and software development best practices.

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field;
• Excellent knowledge of Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Hibernate);
• Good knowledge of REST/SOAP Web Services and software integration;
• Good understanding of web security, authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect);
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle experience is an asset);
• Experience with development tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, SonarQube and GitHub;
• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent command of English.

This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence in Brussels at least 3 days per week.
