Job description

Tesla is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our team at the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, Germany. Troubleshoot and work on a wide range of queries and incidents, this position will be on the front lines of Tesla Motors' IT systems support. IT Desktop Technicians are the face of IT for internal customers. The primary task of this position will be to troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, install and support the systems, and assist with the day-to-day operations for Tesla's global IT infrastructure to provide for the growth of Tesla's initiatives. These duties will be performed in compliance with policy guidelines and within timeframes as defined in the team's SLAs and/or project requirements. What You'll Do

  • Provide onsite and remote support for Tesla organization. Daily technical support of laptops and mobile device hardware and software issues, telephony, printers, and networking and other computer hardware
  • In the course of performing assigned duties, effective communication both orally and in writing to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, including company management and outside business partners
  • Exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines\standards
  • Organize and prioritize workflow and to meet established timeframes and minimal disruption to users/operations
  • Maintain and update knowledge of policies, procedures, products, IT Stock, and activities of assigned areas
  • Maintain IT stock, ensuring adequate supplies are available, tracking inventory levels, keeping accurate records
  • Occasionally work weekends, after hours, periodic on-call rotations, and travel within EMEA up to 10%

Requirements

  • Requires 2+ years of experience in Desktop Support or 3+ years in similar support role, ideally in supporting international and/or global organizations
  • Requires equivalent training/education in Computer Science
  • Excellent customer-oriented service skills, attention to details with strong oral/written communication skills
  • English is a must; German speaking a big plus
  • Must have - working with ticket-based incident and request systems
  • Advanced experience troubleshooting Windows 10&11, MacOS, iOS & Android together with proficiency in using Office 365 desktop apps (e.g. Outlook, Excel) Linux is a plus
  • Work experience with enterprise remote imaging and administrative tools including SCCM, JAMF, Intune
