Job description
As a SAP Software License Manager (f/m/d), you drive the strategic governance and optimization of SAP software licenses across complex ERP and cloud landscapes. You ensure license compliance, analyze consumption and contractual entitlements, and provide expert guidance to stakeholders on licensing strategies, audits, and cost optimization. By collaborating closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, and external partners, you help minimize financial risks and maximize the value of SAP investments. How You'll Make an Impact

Ownership and governance of the SAP Effective License Position (ELP), including license compliance, quality assurance, and risk reporting

Development and implementation of SAP license governance frameworks across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, and SAP Cloud environments

Analysis, validation, and reconciliation of SAP license consumption data, including user, engine, FUE, and Digital Access metrics

Identification and execution of SAP license optimization initiatives, including cost optimization, compliance remediation, and licensing strategy for transformation programs

Strategic advisory for stakeholders on SAP licensing, budgeting, demand planning, supplier negotiations, and commercial decision-making

Requirements
- University degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Extensive professional experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) with a strong focus on SAP software license management
- Proven expertise in managing SAP licensing across complex landscapes, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, RISE with SAP, and SAP Cloud solutions
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP licensing models, including Digital Access, indirect usage, user and engine license metrics, and contract analysis
- Strong analytical expertise in data analysis, license reconciliation, financial modeling, risk management, compliance, and process improvement
- Excellent stakeholder management, strategic advisory, negotiation support, and communication skills in German and English
