Software Quality Engineer

We are looking for a mid-to-senior level Software Quality Engineer with strong test automation skills for our agile software development teams. In this role, you will focus primarily on test automation in Flutter, while also contributing to manual testing where it adds value. You will help ensure the quality of our software products and work with a high level of autonomy and self-management.

• create test cases based on user stories and requirements
• design, implement and maintain automated tests for mobile applications (Flutter)
• perform focused manual testing where automation is not practical or exploratory testing is required
• work closely with developers and product owners in an agile Scrum team
• take ownership of quality topics within the team and manage your work independently
• contribute to test planning and help define appropriate test approaches for new features
• continuously improve test processes and apply quality standards in line with ISO 25010 and our internal quality guidelines

• completed vocational training in software development (or related IT field) or a degree in computer science, business informatics (or a related field)
• solid understanding of software quality assurance and software testing
• hands-on experience with automated testing
• practical experience with manual testing
• experience testing different types of software
• confident use of test management tools such as TestRail
• experience with E2E test automation frameworks, ideally Patrol for Flutter
• good understanding of agile software development and Scrum
• high level of autonomy, self-management and responsibility
• clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• highly proficient in written and spoken English

Preferences

• experience with Git or similar version control tools
• experience with Playwright
• experience using AI-supported tools in software development or testing
• experience with relational databases
• Good knowledge of German, * work in an agile Scrum team with high autonomy, clear ownership and room for self-management
