Job description
This is a senior leadership role where you'll own safety, security, availability, scaling, costs, and efficiency across a 24/7 operation. You'll lead the team responsible for installing, maintaining, and decommissioning network and server equipment - but your primary focus is people. You'll build and grow a high-performing organization of managers and technicians from the ground up, shaping a culture of operational excellence as the region scales., * People Leadership: Build, lead, and develop a team of Data Center Managers and 100+ associates. Recruit talent, grow leaders, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
- Strategic Vision: Define and execute the operational strategy for the Aragón region, aligning with AWS global standards while adapting to local growth demands.
- Operational Excellence: Own all operational KPIs - drive process improvement, automation, and innovation to raise the bar on safety, availability, and efficiency.
- Scaling & Expansion: Plan and execute the operations component of new data center build-outs as the region grows, ensuring readiness from day one.
- Incident Leadership: Manage Large Scale Events and act as call leader, ensuring rapid resolution and clear communication.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work across AWS teams to share best practices globally and ensure the region benefits from - and contributes to - operational excellence worldwide.

Requirements
Previous data center experience is not required. What matters most is proven people leadership - specifically, experience managing managers and developing teams through periods of rapid growth. If you've led large, complex operations and know how to inspire, scale, and develop leaders, this is an exceptional opportunity., * Experience in managing managers
