Job description
A position of Autopilot Testing Engineer (m/f) has just opened within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join a team within the Flight and Integration Tests center, in charge of Autopilot integration testing, flight tests analyses on all Airbus Programmes (including R&T).
The majority of our testing activities is performed on laboratory test benches and aircraft integration simulators.
The jobholder will also contribute in shaping the future of testing through more innovative ways of working, more digitalisation with the objective of increasing the maturity of our products, focusing on high added value activities while keeping safety first.
Collaboration with our main stakeholders in the Design Office, Programmes and Flight Tests fosters a rich and dynamic environment in which to develop.
Your main tasks & responsibilities:

Test Strategy, Planning & Design Analyzing and challenging test requests to design detailed methodologies, procedures, and measurement plans. This includes defining configurations for virtual, bench, and ground tests, collaborating on flight programs, and preparing instrumentation.

Test Execution, Real-Time Monitoring & Validation Running and overseeing test campaigns (including external deliveries), utilizing the telemetry room for real-time analysis during flights, validating measurements, and performing key verifications to secure experimental flight approvals.

Reporting, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Documenting and reporting anomalies, sharing test results with the Design Office to support integration maturity, and driving the strategy for test means through digital innovation (such as automation and big data analytics)., * Financial:Success/profit sharing, an employee savings plan with Airbus contribution, and a voluntary stock purchase plan.

We are looking for a proactive engineer, ideally with a degree in Aeronautics, having a minimum of experience (at least 3 years) and result-oriented.
The candidate shall be open-minded, with good communication and synthesis skills, with a strong team spirit.
In terms of technical skills, the following is required:
- Knowledge of flight mechanics
- Knowledge and/or Experience of testing systems
- Knowledge and/or Experience of Analyzing data
- Any relevant experience is taken into account, including embedded system design, computer science
- Knowledge in Python coding is a plus
- Knowledge in Data science is a plus
- An advanced level of English and an intermediate level of French are mandatory
