Job description
As a Software Quality Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary project team developing advanced industrial equipment and the associated software ecosystem. Your primary focus will be on system-level software that connects complex hardware platforms with customer-facing workflow applications, including real-time embedded software components. The product environment includes operator interfaces that enable efficient and reliable operation in production settings.
You will collaborate within multiple Agile development teams and play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of integrated software solutions. As part of the quality engineering team, you will be responsible for verification and validation activities across the full software stack, both through manual and automated testing approaches.
What you'll do
- Review and assess software requirements and feature specifications.
- Define and drive quality assurance processes through clear test strategies and plans, identifying defects as early as possible in the development lifecycle.
- Coordinate verification and validation activities at functional, unit, integration, and system levels, and monitor resulting improvement actions.
- Collaborate closely with support teams, product stakeholders, and development teams.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for issues reported from operational environments.
- Plan, organize, and execute regular system-level and end-to-end testing activities to monitor overall product quality and project status.
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer through clear release documentation and communication towards manufacturing, service, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferably 3-5 years of experience in software development, software testing, or quality engineering.
- Experience with Test Automation.
- Programming knowledge of Python, C or .NET.
- Strong quality-focused mindset and experience with modern testing methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the confidence to address quality concerns constructively and proactively.
- Interest in continuously improving development processes, testing methods, and quality assurance practices.
- Practical and hands-on attitude.
