Job description

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our engineering environment, allowing our talented engineers to focus primarily on creating business value through technology.

What are you going to do?

  • Infrastructure Support: Collaborate closely with digital product teams to understand their needs and continuously improve our infrastructure, ensuring a robust and reliable platform for software development and deployment.
  • Deployment & Operations Excellence: Develop and maintain generic and reusable deployment/build templates, streamlining the process of bringing applications to production and reducing operational overhead.
  • Security and Access Management: Ensure secure and controlled access to data and systems, implementing best practices to protect sensitive information and maintain compliance standards.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Participate in various project initiatives aimed at improving our engineering processes and tools, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our software delivery pipeline.
  • Platform Development: You will develop a set of tools, guidelines and shared infrastructure to our digital product teams.
  • Production management: Be ready to work with Production related issues and incidents

Requirements

  • Proven software engineering experience (7 - 10 years) working on complex problems and scalable solutions.
  • Proven experience as a backend engineer or similar role, with a strong background in software development lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies, including to C#/.net, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Azure Services: Experience in configuring and managing Azure resources, including Azure App Services, Azure Key Vault, Azure API Management, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (preferably Bicep or Terraform); experience with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps Services is a plus
  • AI-Enabled Tooling: Affinity with AI and a curiosity to apply it in practical engineering contexts. Experience building AI-powered tooling (e.g. MCP servers, AI PR reviewers, or automated workflows) is a strong plus.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases, with a focus on optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity. Preferably Microsoft SQL Server
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of software deployment strategies and operational best practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and familiarity with sprint-based development cycles.
