SC Cleared IT Decommissioning Engineers - Contract

Location: Barnwood, Gloucestershire Contract Dates: 19-20 August and 24-27 August Number of Positions: 4

We are currently looking for four SC Cleared IT Decommissioning Engineers to support a large-scale hardware decommissioning project in Barnwood.

The project will involve the secure removal, handling and preparation for recycling or disposal of approximately 600 IT and networking assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Physical removal and de-racking of IT and networking equipment Secure handling of Servers, storage devices and other IT assets Removal of hard drives from Servers Recording parent-and-child asset information for Servers and associated drives Placing removed drives into secure storage bins provided onsite Palletising remaining equipment ready for collection Supporting the secure transport, destruction, recycling and disposal process Following all agreed security, health and safety, and asset-management procedures Assisting with project reporting and disposal certification requirements

The majority of the equipment will already have been removed from its racking. Members of the project team will be onsite to oversee and coordinate the work.

Essential Requirements:

Current and valid UK Security Clearance (SC) Previous experience with IT hardware decommissioning, data-centre equipment or infrastructure projects Comfortable carrying out physical work, including moving and palletising equipment Experience handling Servers, hard drives and networking equipment Strong attention to detail when recording asset information Available for all required project dates

Candidates will be required to provide confirmation of their SC clearance, including the vetting agency, clearance reference and expiry date.

Successful applicants will also complete a brief telephone screening before being approved for the project.
