Job description
We are supporting a major UK public sector digital transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a high-profile delivery team designing enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions.
You will take ownership of end-to-end data architecture, working closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders to design scalable, secure and governed data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Designing enterprise data architectures, including data modelling, governance, metadata, lineage and quality
- Defining modern data platforms including data lakes, data warehouses and lakehouse architectures
- Designing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions
- Advising on cloud-based data platforms, virtualisation and modern analytics architectures
- Providing technical leadership throughout the project life cycle, from design through to implementation
- Supporting architecture governance, best practice and technical assurance
- Working with engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions across Agile environments
Requirements
Enterprise Data Architecture
- Data Warehousing, Data Lakes and Lakehouse solutions
- Data Modelling and Data Governance
- ETL/ELT Architecture
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Relational and NoSQL databases
- Data Virtualisation
- Analytics and BI platforms (Power BI, SAS, R or similar)
- APIs and data integration
- Agile, DevOps and CI/CD delivery environments
Experience delivering large-scale public sector or regulated industry programmes would be highly beneficial.
